We are planning to mate Dubliner Mac Minmin in 2012. More information later on!
Paloma BIS, ISF 2009 (Handler Ann Paleski)
2011-03-27 R.I.P Highland Flower Superstar My great love Rico has left us. Three days after his fourteenth birthday, he became seriously ill and we had to rush to the vet. The day after we had to let him go. They could not find anything wrong with him but he was suffering and was in terrible pain. My hero is dead and I miss him so much. Thank you Rico for all the years with joy you gave us, I love you and you will allways be with me in my heart.

3 OF JUNE The puppies are now 5 weeks old and are exploring our garden. I love their mentality, the hole litter seem so secure and fearless. The grown ups take their resonsibility as the small ones "bodyguards" and they all really loves the puppies. We'll try to take some photos of the little ones standing, so visit our site soon again.

27 of May - New pictures and movies of the 4 weeks old puppies!
Amigo, not a puppie anymore, but so so
lovely!
16 of MAY - MORE PICTURES AND A LITTLE MOVIE
12 of May - New pictures! The puppies are two weeks old today. They have tasted some meat today, and some of them have their eyes opened. They are growing so much every second. We have taken some new pictures and you can se them in action below.
Some new photos of the puppies! The puppies are fine and so is Samba but she's tired of being a mom all the time. Yesterday she tried to get the rest of the pack to play with her, she's bored out of her mind. Today we were told that another sibling to Mio and Paloma got good X-ray results, so now there is 11 siblings with good hips. Congratulations to the breeders (Kennel Dubliner) and the owner of Amy (Karin at Kennel Honeygardens). It feels so good to know that it's Mio that is the father of our small ones.
SAMBAS PUPPIES ARE HERE NOW...4 BOYS & 4 GIRLS!
On Wednesday the 28:th of April at 11 am the first little girl saw the light of day and the rest soon followed. Samba quickly took on the role as loving "single mom", although at times you can see that the very same role can be quite exhausting. The pups are feeling fine and they are looked after day and night.
Check back soon for more pics and info! Puppies are expected week 18 Our Samba (Dubliner Marzipan) has been on a date with my favorite boy Mio (Dubliner Mac Mio). We strongly believe in this combination and that the two could complement each other very well. The choice of the male for Samba was not difficult at all. Mio is a dog that I truly adore beacuse of his manner and appearance. He has everything I want in a male for Samba, stunning movement, thick and dark hair, a extremely positive temperament, a very good body and topline. A thing to point out is that Mio comes from a litter that holds very good hip-scores (nine siblings are x-rayed and all got the result A or B). Mios powerful features combined with Sambas color, angles, the gorgeous almond-shaped eyes, her wonderfully happy temper, strong topline and body is a combination that we believe could be very good. You probably understand by now that we really love these two dogs and we look forward to meet their little puppies! We soon hope to hear the sound of little paws again!

Yet another year has passed ... and now it's already February 2010?! Time goes fast, and boom, there has already been a month of the new year. We have not updated our website in several months but now we hope to get the page going again! We began year 2010 by celebrating our Rico who completed an incredible 13 years! Even this year we celebrated our old man with a good cake and presents, which was received with great joy.
A gang of highly
concentrated dogs ... a cake is done here!
It has also
snowed here in Gothenburg and the snow has remained on the hill a long
time. The dogs love to run and roll around in the snow in the woods, so we
have had many lovely walks this winter. Even Rico follow us out, despite
his advanced age and his ramshackle bone, and we are so happy for every
day we get with this wonderful dog! The other day he decided to fell down
a tree .. not a particularly thick tree, but still a tree. He went on and
on but did not give up until it was of. It was a wonderful sight to see
the old dog be like a youngster again. The other dogs did not understand
what Rico was doing but after a while Amigo joined to the crime!
These beautiful eyes...
The result!

So what awaits us in 2010? We have
decided to take it easy with competing this year ... we take a break to
come back strong again year 2011.
We have planned to mate Samba this spring
so look out for us ... we hope to bring good news this year!
2009 25:TH of AUGUST- PALOMA BEST IN SHOW AT ISF PUPPY/JUNIOR/YOUNG DOG DAY! Who knew this was possible? Paloma have just entered the youngsterclass, so I thought it would be difficult this weekend. But the results were way over my expectations. Paloma won it all, Best in Show! We´re so happy about this and that it´s not just ourselves who thinks she´s beautiful. As the shows before, Ann Paleski was the handler of our little dove and the pair were beautiful in the ring. We´re so proud. We finished a long weekend with a nice bath in a lake. I think it´s important to let the dogs play and have fun when all "the work" is done. Some pictures from the weekend. All taken by me exept for the winning photo, taken by Katarina Hansson.

14:TH OF AUGUST - THE SUMMER IS ALMOST OVER, AND OUR WEBPAGE HAS CHANGED. Sadly the summer is almost over. As you can see some of it, has been spent working on our website. We have competed a bit with various results. For Chiquita, things haven´t worked out as planned. But Paloma has done really well. Maby because Ann Paleski (Palomas breeder and first "mummy"), who Paloma simply adores, have been her handler. We have also been on a holiday. It´s not the easiest thing to organize a trip for two people and a million dogs.... We rented a cabin in an area in the north of Sweden called "the high coast". It´s well known for it's beautiful and unique nature. We and the dogs enjoyed long daytrips in the woods and along the seaside. Simply a perfect vacation for a kennelfamily. Especially the visit to Kristina Brännlund and her Cherry Bloom-kennel was fun. Thanks for a lovely evening Kristina, and for letting us get to know Tito Pling-Plong. A one-in-a-million type of setter with a rare and fantastic personality. When we got home, we had the chance to spend some time with Axl M-M L Shakespeare and take some new photos of him. Check them out on the link above. Some photos from the trip:

25:th OF MAY - PALOMA (Dubliner Mac Minmin) GOT HER HIP-SCORE : AA Finally the day had arrived, the "x-ray day". Palomas brothers Mio and Pascal also had an appointment at the vet. We had to wait one week for the results, but it was worth it, they got A, A and B. We are so happy that Paloma will become a mother some day, we love her a lot. She has a great topline, lovely coat, and the most pretty head I know, and great movements! We are so proud of her, she's intense but so much fun! We also want to congratulate (better late than never) all the brothers and sisters to Paloma on their 1-year birthday!
Paloma with
Ann Paleski, her favourite.MARCH -Unfortunately Samba isn't pregnant. Sadly did'nt the ultrasound show any puppies. We are disappointed , but we are going to try again next year. Samba is young and she's got the future ahead of her. -Paloma has competed. Paloma has competed at ISF Värmland with good results. We are pleased with second place in junior class with CK. It was a really big class with a lot of competition, so we knew that the day could end in any way. ![]() Photo of Paloma taken at the show! "ABOUT US" IS UPDATED! PALOMA BOB-Puppy IN GOTHENBURG 3:rd JANUARY OCH 4:th JANUARY!! ![]() January 2009
![]() Paloma and her brother Pascal My Dog in Gothenburg is a show we enter every year! This year was no different than others, except that Chiquita wouldn’t compete, it was time for Paloma to start with the shows. Everything was set to go the evening before, the dog was neat and clean, the clothes were ironed, the showbag was packed. A good friend of mine was supposed to come along with us, and I was supposed to pick her up at 7,40 am. Can you imagine the panic in our home, when the phone rang at 7,45 (my friend wanted to know where I was) and I was still sleeping? My alarm hadn’t gone off, and I had enjoyed my first sleep in for a very long time. I jumped out of bed screaming at my poor fiancé to take out Paloma for a walk, meanwhile I put my clothes on. I thought to myself, that the day wouldn’t turn out well, if it started like this. But, half an hour later I was outside the show, just to find that the queue went all the way to the carpark and it wouldn’t help no matter how much I begged, they wouldn’t let me go in front. I had to run like crazy around the exhibition halls to enter at the front doors. Paloma enjoyed the run. Anyway, I got there in time as you can see, and it went swell. Paloma got BOB puppie and we are very pleased with the results of course. She behaved well, and we both had a lot of fun. Her brother Pascal became BOS-puppie, a very nice young lad. In the BIS-final unfortunately we didn’t get one of the top five. On Sunday I managed to get up on time, I even had the time to watch the Border Terriers a bit (they are so charming) Paloma got BOB even on Sunday, and we got to run in the grand final once again. She really loves to show. She didn’t mind the speakers or the spotlights, I’m the one that thinks thats scary! Unfortunately it became a rerun from the day before, the were no placing this day either. But we are more than happy anyway. This was Palomas first big show, and we didn’t count on it to go so well as it did. We hope that the rest of 2009 will continue in the same spirit! RICO TURNED 12 YEARS OLD JANUARY THE FIRST ![]() Rico want some cake with broccoli! ![]() Others who want cake, Samba and Chiquita! Who would have thought that? Not us anyway. Our Mr Misfortune has reached this age. His birthday is the first of January, so he’s always a bit dissy on his birthday...of tranquillizers, not by alcohol!!! He has always been really gun-shy, so every New Year’s Eve I´ve spent together with him in the bathroom (that’s were he feels safe). It’s a tradition that for an outsider may seem a bit strange, but like most dog owners with gun-shye dogs I refuse to leave my dog on the worst night of the whole year. But this year he was so relaxed (tranquillizers) that he actually could stay in the livingroom with all the rest (I believe that he’s turning deaf). I’m so happy that none of the others are bothered by firework. Back to his birthday! For the first time in my life I made a cake of pancakes, with minced meat, liverpaste and broccoli (he really loves broccoli, he’s a bit senile). Other dog friends came to visit him, Svea and Ebbe. I never have birthdaypartys for my dogs, but this time I thought it was a special occasion. 12 years is an advanced age for any dog, but extremely advanced for our Rico... his is like a cat, he just must have nine lives considering all he’s been through. Thank you my lovely Rico for these 12 years. They have been crazy, filled with laughter, crying and gnashing of teeth! We are thankful for each day we get to spend with you. |
